Net Price Calculator

The University of Cincinnati is a member institution of the Voluntary System of Accountability (VSA) where colleges and universities provide comparable information to students making a college choice. While college cost is not a sole factor in the college decision, it can be a major component. Therefore, the University of Cincinnati has partnered with the VSA to provide an online program to help families understand the net price for a college education after financial aid has been applied.

The estimates provided by the Net Price Calculator (also called the College Affordability Estimator) apply to full-time, first-time, degree-seeking undergraduate students attending the Uptown (Clifton) campus who completed the Free Application for Federal Student Aid. The calculator gives you a very general sense of what basic aid sources (such as student loans and Federal Pell Grant) would be available to you based on the data you provide. Because of their unique eligibility criteria, additional need-based aid sources and scholarships cannot be estimated via this calculator.

The Student Financial Aid Office recognizes that these figures can be helpful but provide only a limited starting point with college planning. More importantly, we are available to assist you. While online calculations give an indication of costs and aid eligibility, your individual circumstances and the timing of your application may result in a very different financial aid award package.

Because some aid programs are awarded on a first-come, first-serve basis, an early application receives priority consideration for limited funding sources. Complete your Free Application for Federal Student Aid as soon after January 1 of each year as possible to apply for aid for the upcoming academic year.

Incoming freshmen seeking UC scholarship assistance should have their complete admission application (including transcript and test scores) submitted by December 1 of their senior year.

Money Matters is an annual worksheet designed to help you project your term bill, subtract your available financial aid and determine any out-of-pocket funding to meet your balance.

While the Net Price Calculator can give you an overall picture and account for basic aid programs such as student loans and Federal Pell Grant eligibility based on information you provide, your specific costs and financial aid award will be determined each year.

Complete the FAFSA as soon after January 1 as possible each academic year for maximum aid consideration.
